Request for Membership Feature:

We request that Rubric decouple product availability from membership active status.

Current Situation:

• We offer multi-year memberships (e.g. 3-Year Membership 2025–2027).

• Once intake closes, we hide the product from sale.

• When hidden, Rubric automatically removes those members from “Active Members”. in membership overview tab

• These members are still paid and valid until their expiry date.

This is a needed feature, as it is directly affecting our reported active membership numbers and overall membership status.

Product visibility should not determine membership validity.

Recommended Change

Introduce two separate controls:

Product Status

• For Sale

• Hidden

• Archived

Membership Status

• Active (until expiry date)

• Expired

Membership status should be determined by:

Expiry Date ≥ Today’s Date

Hiding a product should prevent new purchases but not impact existing members.

Why This Matters

• Ensures accurate active membership reporting

• Protects sponsor and funding metrics

• Maintains correct event eligibility

• Reduces unnecessary administrative burden

• Supports multi-year membership models

This enhancement is critical to ensuring the platform accurately reflects valid, paid memberships.
